Hedlow Airfield is part of the Akubra Downs Station on Old Byefield Rd approximately half way between Rockhampton and Yeppoon.

Please wear comfortable clothing and a pair of runners.
A T-Shirt and shorts is fine for the warmer months.
During the colder months a long sleeve T-Shirt or light pullover will be all you need

You are required to complete an Australian Parachute Federation Membership prior to completing your Skydive.
PLEASE NOTE This is only required once your booking is confirmed and is simply a measure to allow you time to read the required forms etc while keeping us running on time on the day.

Spectators are welcome at all times.
Links to google maps are located on the website so you can be sure you have accurate directions.

PLEASE NOTE: travel time from Hedlow to the Yeppoon landing area is on average a few minutes more than the plane ride to height. Spectators will need to allow sufficient time to get to the beach, we can not delays jumps once the aircraft is in flight and Skydive Capricorn can not be held responsible in any way if Spectators miss the jump.

This is an outdoor sport and the weather does control our lives and your safety
Mostly is all about wind but cloud and rain do play a part..
25Kts is the legal limit, above 20Kts we reserve our right to make a judgement call for your safety and our instructors. Anything from the West or lots of cloud and rain likely to be an issue.(fortunately this is rare on the coast)

We will call you as early as possible if the weather is not looking favourable.

Your booking time is the time you need to meet us at the Airfield.

Your selected booking time is your preferred meeting time, We reserve the right to adjust these times if necessary due weather or other bookings.
We will endeavour to keep any change to a minimum however in particular if it is a single booking we do need to manage economics by matching single bookings to ensure we run the aircraft with a minimum of 2 tandem pairs where at all possible.
Any changes will be notified at the earliest possible time however final booking numbers for any given day are often not known until the day prior.

We aim to have you landed on the beach approximately 45-60 minutes after the meeting time.

A minimum deposit of $80 applies to your booking.
You will have the option to select a payment amount at Checkout.

Most payment methods are available however to avoid fees we recommend payment prior by EFT or balance by cash on the day. .


There is no need to pre book video and photo packages, this can be organised on the day of your jump!

It is very important that we are able to make direct contact on the day of your jump if required.
If the phone or email details provided with the booking are not the most suitable contact or you are unable to be contacted on the provided number for any reason please ensure you contact us to arrange an alternate contact.

We will use email prior to the day of your jump and phone on the day.


Please Note:
Accurate weights are important for your safety.
Weights above 95Kg are based on an assessment by our staff before your jump.
Generally speaking a tall male will be ok up to about 105Kg, females will be limited to 95Kg.
By accepting your booking you agree to the conditions that your weight is 95Kg or less and that you have no medical conditions that could affect your jump unless these have been discussed prior to your booking.
If on the day of your jump you are in excess of 95Kg or have medical conditions that preclude you from jumping and we have not been advised prior you may forfeit your booking deposit.
